'You tardy blogger, you,' I hear you cry.
Yeh, yeh, I know. I missed a couple of posts, but there is good reason; quite simply, I've been busy. But I still felt bad about missing them, even more so because I wanted to gossip about what was going on and all.
And then it hit me. Blogging is a paradoxical activity, and as such, I want to invent a 'syndrome' to describe it.
Wicked! I love inventing names for syndromes.
'What are you on about, you daft moose?' I hear you cry.
Well think about it - As a blogger, the more stuff you do in real life, the less time you have to write about it. That's ironic. BUT, it's also an exponential relationship, because if you keep on doing loads of stuff in real life, the material you want to write about builds up at a faster rate that the time available to write about it. Bummer.
So, I have invented a new syndrome called 'Blirony'. If you suffer from Blirony, you are a blogger who is ironically doing so many things that there is insufficient time to blog about them.
I call it a syndrome, but for me it is really more of a malady. Every now and again Blirony creeps up on me, and then I get on top of it and everything is hunky dory. I think that in order to be diagnosed as having full Blirony syndrome, you would have to be someone like Paris Hilton or Jordan (mind you, I am making the wild assumption that they have the ability to blog).
Does anyone else have any blogger syndromes or maladies that they would like to contribute?
you are a nutter sometimes...
ReplyDeleteOK, well there are times when I have stuff to write about and I have the time to do it... but I just can't be bothered.
ReplyDeleteApplying your naming convention: I suppose I sometimes suffer from Blapathy.
Too deep for a Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteHello anne, nice blog & good post. You have beautifully maintained it, you must try this website which really helps to increase your traffic. hope u have a wonderful day & awaiting for more new post. Keep Blogging!
ReplyDeleteWhat's funny is I was just thinking the same thing!!! It's spring and I'm busy. Really really busy! I'm letting my blog go, which is crazy because I have more material than ever. Just can't find the time to write. Here's a twist for you though, I actually end up feeling guilty when I do sit down and write because then I'm not doing stuff that I need to do and I get all introspective about what's "real" and what's "virtual" - so blogging about all the stuff I do actually keeps me from doing stuff to blog about. Sheesh! I knew it wasn't just me!!! Is there a script I can get?
ReplyDeleteHmm.. so what is the opposite of blirony? If you are too busy writing about stuff, that you stop doing stuff, so there is nothing left to write about?
ReplyDeleteNolifeblogmania?

ReplyDeleteOop sorry Robert. I'll be posting something more mundane today
